As a participant and believer in Continuing Professional Development I continue to work individually and collaboratively with other professionals to further my personal and professional development.
In practice, this means that
- I have therapy myself when my own issues arise, so that i am fully present for you in our sessions (and so I don’t act out my own stuff).
- I read industry journals sent to my workplace (publications for memberships of UKCP, BACP, ITA, etc)
- I read at least 6 books per year on the subjects of therapy, coaching, counselling, so that I keep informed about various approaches to therapy.
- I attend at least one training course every year to further my own professional development.
- I attend at least the number of clinical supervision session per year as set down by the UKCP for psychotherapists.
Professional Memberships:
I am acredited, and therefore am registered with United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP)
